The Cost-of-Living Rebate (CoLR) for Queensland residents and the Commonwealth Government National Energy Bill Relief is coming into effect from 1 July 2024. These initiatives aim to alleviate the pressures many are facing due to the increased cost of living.
How you receive these rebates, the timing of your payments and their amounts depends on the state you live in, whether you hold a residential or small business account, and if you purchase electricity from Altogether as a retailer or from your body corporate or building owner.

I purchase my electricity from Altogether
If you purchase your electricity from Altogether as an authorised retailer, you will be receiving a yellow bill from Altogether.
By allowing Altogether Group to administer your embedded network as an authorised retailer, administrative activities are consolidated.
This means, Altogether will apply for the rebates as your authorised electricity retailer and automatically apply the rebates against your account:
- The QLD Govt Cost of Living rebate will be automatically applied to your account as a lump sum from 1 July 2024 .
- The National Bill Relief rebates will be automatically applied to your account in quarterly instalments throughout the 2024-25 financial year.
The exact timing of these payments will depend on your billing cycle. Once applied, you will see this credit in your online My Account and on your next bill.

As an account holder who purchases electricity from your body corporate or building owner, your body corporate or building owner is responsible for applying for both the Queensland Cost-of-Living rebate and the National Energy Bill Relief via their electricity retailer.
As your body corporate or building owner receives the rebates from their electricity retailer, Altogether will apply them to your Altogether account.
The exact timing of these rebates depends on when your body corporate or building owner receives the rebates from their electricity retailer. Altogether are unable to provide a timeframe.
