Our recycled water is perfectly safe for watering the veggie garden including fruits, vegetables and even leafy salad greens. However, you should still wash these prior to consumption.
If you are growing almond, apricot, citrus, grape, pepper, plum, potato or tomato in your garden then when we recommend watering them by hand or using something like a trickle irrigation system to make sure the recycled water is applied to the base of the plant, rather than spraying water on their leaves as this may decrease their crop yield.
If you have another use for recycled water not listed on our website, please contact us so we can determine if it's safe or not. If you have used recycled water for an unauthorised purpose, please contact us on 1300 803 803.
