The NSW Government offers several rebates to help customers pay their bills. Eligible customers can apply for a combination of rebates directly with the NSW Government.
In NSW, Altogether is deemed to be on-selling electricity (despite being an authorised retailer).
Types of rebates offered in NSW:
- Low Income Household Rebate
- Family Energy Rebate
- Life Support Rebate
- Medical Energy Rebate
- Senior Energy Rebate
- National Energy Bill Relief (2023-24 financial year)
NSW embedded network customer applications for the 2024-25 Bill Relief program are now available on the Service NSW website.
- Household customers can apply here: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/household-national-energy-bill-relief
- Small business customers can apply here: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/small-business-national-energy-bill-relief-payment
Unlike last year, all households are eligible for the Bill Relief payment of up to $300, and not just those who receive energy rebates or the Carer Allowance.
Households in embedded networks who are eligible, apply for and receive the Low-Income Household Rebate, Medical Energy Rebate, Family Energy Rebate or Life Support Rebate for financial year 2024-25 do not need to apply. These customers will be automatically assessed for and receive the Bill Relief payment once their rebate application is approved.
Households in embedded networks who are not eligible for these electricity rebates, including those eligible for the Seniors Energy Rebate, will need to apply separately for their Bill Relief payment using the link provided above or by calling Service NSW 13 77 88
