Altogether monitors the quality of the recycled water and drinking water we supply to our customers through a variety of instrumentation and laboratory testing.
We measure the concentrations of things like inorganics, trace metals and a variety of other parameters to confirm the water meets the requirements of the relevant Australian Guidelines. We also test for a range of microbiological indicators as a way of confirming that our disinfection barriers are performing as expected and removing pathogens. Together these form a key part of our Water Quality Management System, which we have developed to ensure that we have the necessary controls in place to safeguard the health and well-being of the communities we service.
Altogether utilises an external laboratory that is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities for our laboratory analysis and these results are made available to the independent, 3rd party auditors that review our compliance and who report to the NSW government’s Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal that regulate public and private water utilities across the state.
